On page 63 Saffer writes about how the products we use need to be smarter than we are. I totally agree and I am so thankful. I can't imagine not having my contact list with me in my cell phone everywhere I go. Our predecessors must have had to memorize so many different numbers or carry an address book with them everywhere. Another thing I am glad we have at our fingertips is the ease and quickness of information. I remember in middle school I always had to use the printed encyclopedias at the library just to write a short paper. Now you have a wider variety of information with you anywhere you go. It is nice to know that technology is smarter than we are and that for the most part it will continue to create convenience for us.

Sometimes If a product is "smarter then we are" it can turn into a problem and people may have difficulty using the device. Id like to use the idea "as smart as we are"

I think it's just me, but I'm kind of disturbed at the thought that products are being designed to be smarter than we are. Like I wrote in my blog, I can see problems with creating technology smarter than we are. I'm with Matt... I'll go with "as smart as we are".
