I thought one interesting thing that Saffer left out about hacking that can be considered positive in some major web sites is they will hire hackers to attempt to access their site. The hackers will go through the companies site and find things that are weak, and easy to access and tell the company they need to fix them. Online banking sites use "professional hackers" like these frequently.

I always found that very interesting, and wondered how you get that kind of job. I wonder if you can put your non-commissioned activities on your resume as an example of your work. You have to start somewhere!
