Picture Tags Changing

The picture tag links we used on our map will be changing. We are now uploading the pictures to Google Picasa and linking to them from there. Please check your email for new login information to our Picasa account. Here are the steps to convert our picture tags:

1. First log in to your google account and go get the pictures you worked on. Drag them to your desktop. Then log out of your google account.

2. Log in to Google using the new login (jcdphd) you got from your email.

3. Click "My Account" link (upper right hand corner) after login.

4. Click Picasa Web Albums.

5. Upload your pictures to the BSU_CAMPUS gallery.

6. In the BSU_CAMPUS gallery, click the thumbnail to get to the actual full sized image.

7. On the gallery page with the full sized image you will see a textbox labeled "Add a comment" below the image... Look over to the right of that textbox and you will see a link called "Link to this Photo". Click on that link to open it up, then click the lower text under it labeled "HTML to embed in website" to select it automatically. Apple C (Mac) or Control C (Windows) to copy it.

8. Paste the code into the textbox labeled "Add a comment" below the image. This is where you will edit the link for our map.

9. Remove everything except the image tag ... EX:

10. In the link, just before the picture name, remove the directory; "/s144", from the link ... EX:

11. Select and Copy your edited picture tag. Log out of Picasa and log back in to your Google account to edit the map. Replace the existing link with your new one.

Note:
If you are doing more than one picture, it might be good to make a text file to temporarily store the new links in so you don't have to log in and out a bunch of times. Then just copy them from there.
