Steadycam Suggestion

If we just try to carry the camera around and shoot, it has a pretty good chance of looking rough. While Cloverfield wasn't a (terribly) bad movie, I don't think we should go for that "shaking like the cameraman is having a seizure" kind of look.

Apparently we aren't able to use the steadycam equipment for our purposes, so I have a crazy idea. Check out this link; this guy says he can build his own for $14. It sounds like a fun weekend project to me.
